Harrison Lassan
First Baseman | St. Louis Cardinals
Hitting Lassan is an excellent mistake hitter who belts middle-of-the-plate fastballs or hanging breaking balls. Lassan is an explosive lefthanded hitter who thrives in key situations. Lassan always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him. He likes to pull the ball, but don't be surprised if he puts the ball the opposite field from time to time. He's a smart batter and takes good note of how the fielders are shading him.
Baserunning & Defense When you play Lassan you're not putting him in for his glove. Harrison's arm leaves a little to be a desired. He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal.
