Jesse Levis
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
Levis never has been a patient hitter. With his slap-hitting approach, Levis always hits like he already has two strikes. The results are usually groundballs or line drives to the opposite field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him. You can expect Jesse Levis to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
Levis isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. When you play Levis you're not putting him in for his glove. Jesse's arm leaves a little to be a desired.

2010 Outlook
One has to wonder what Jesse Levis is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors.
