Wib Marolewski
First Baseman | Texas Rangers
Hitting He sometimes will press in clutch situations and chase fastballs up and out of the zone. During the last two years, he has become more patient and gotten better loft on the ball. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. While his home-run power is almost exclusively to left field, he hits doubles everywhere.
Baserunning & Defense He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. His arm is accurate enough. He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal.
