Jim Martin
First Baseman | Free Agents

Hitting
This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
Martin doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Martin you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Martin to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
