Gerald Meekin
Shortstop | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
The book on Meekin is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. The switch-hitting Meekin has better plate coverage and more power from the left side than when he bats righthanded. You can expect Gerald Meekin to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
Minor league scouts have accused Meekin of being a liability in the field. Gerald's arm leaves a little to be a desired. He has no speed at all and runs the bases conservatively.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Meekin to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
