Bob Meyers
Shortstop | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
In past seasons, Meyers has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Meyers is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Meyers always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. Meyers isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Meyers to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
