Mike Munoz
Relief Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching He's a good late inning man, which is when being a pitcher really counts. Munoz also has a decent changeup. If you're going in to face Munoz, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. Never a hard thrower, Munoz now has games when he can't hit 85 MPH with his fastball. Munoz has no endurance. He's good for an inning an outing, tops. He's almost as effective against righthanders as he is versus lefthanders. It's hard to explain but Mike Munoz plays much better on the road then he does at home.
Defense & Hitting His pickoff move is only fair. He isn't especially quick off the mound but generally fields his position adequately. Munoz is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Munoz has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Munoz as a pinch-runner on occasion.
2010 Outlook But if you ask me, I'll pass on Munoz.
