Hitting
Perfect has quick hands and is able to cover the entire plate. He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. Perfect always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. A spray hitter in the classic sense, Ford puts the ball all over the park.

Baserunning & Defense
He rarely makes a highlight play and struggles with balls to his right. Perfect is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.

2010 Outlook
The New York Mets signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Perfect like a hot potato if something better comes along.
