Jim Pettit
Shortstop | Free Agents

Hitting
Pettit never has been a patient hitter. Pettit always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Free Agents do tend to sit Pettit when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
Pettit isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Pettit to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
