Brooks Piacente
Right Fielder | Philadelphia Phillies
Hitting Piacente quickly learned that he could drive the ball out the opposite way. That knowledge has made him a better hitter because he now uses the entire field. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. He uses the entire field and has gap power.
Baserunning & Defense Piacente isn't a fluid right fielder, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal.
