Mike Piazza
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. It's hard to explain but Mike Piazza plays much better on the road then he does at home.

Baserunning & Defense
He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical. Piazza is a poor defensive catcher. He isn't very mobile or adept at blocking balls in the dirt. His arm is accurate enough.
