This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Ken Pierce has made a career of putting the ball to the opposite field. That's rare in this day and age.

Baserunning & Defense
Pierce has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner. Minor league scouts have accused Pierce of being a liability in the field. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Pierce to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
