This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Mike Roig to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
Roig doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Roig you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Roig to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
