Scott Rolen
Third Baseman | Minnesota Horde

Hitting
One of Rolen's strongest assets is his performance with men in scoring position. If it's late in the game, and there are men on base, you want this guy at the plate. Scott Rolenis Mr. Clutch. One thing's for sure, late in the game you're glad you have him on the field. Rolen has quick hands and is able to cover the entire plate. During the last two years, he has become more patient and gotten better loft on the ball. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. He likes to pull the ball, but don't be surprised if he puts the ball the opposite field from time to time. He's a smart batter and takes good note of how the fielders are shading him.

Baserunning & Defense
You might not expect it, but Rolen is a pretty good fielder too. He has a strong, accurate arm. Rolen doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often.
