Pitching
Runnells also has a decent changeup. If you're going in to face Runnells, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. You know, some times I think I can throw harder than Runnells, and that's saying a lot. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders.

Defense & Hitting
He isn't especially quick off the mound but generally fields his position adequately. His windup, though, makes him an easy target to run on. Runnells is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Runnells has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Free Agents have been known to use Runnells as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Runnells to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks. But if you ask me, I'll pass on Runnells.
