Glendon Rusch
Starting Pitcher | Florida Marlins
Pitching His curveball is solid; he throws it better than your average starter. Rusch can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. Rusch also has a decent changeup. He changes speeds well enough to keep righthanders from teeing off on him.
Defense & Hitting Rusch remains one of the best fielding pitchers in the game's history. He's average in terms of controlling the running game. Rusch is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Rusch has some pop in his swing.
