Doc Ryan
Left Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
The book on Ryan is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Ryan isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases. Ryan doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Ryan to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
