Hitting
One of the nice things about Skeeter is that he's a real clutch hitter. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. He rarely pulls pitches, preferring to shoot line drives to left-center.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Sand you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough. Sand isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Sand to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
