Benito Santiago
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
One of the nice things about Benito is that he's a real clutch hitter. Santiago never has been a patient hitter. Santiago always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Santiago you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough. Santiago has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner.

2010 Outlook
If Santiago doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
