Sauters never has been a patient hitter. In past seasons, Sauters has been a bit of a liability with men on base. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Stan Sauters has made a career of putting the ball to the opposite field. That's rare in this day and age.

Baserunning & Defense
His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His arm is accurate enough. He has no speed at all and runs the bases conservatively.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Sauters to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
