Mike Simms
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
Simms never has been a patient hitter. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever. You can expect Mike Simms to pull the ball.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Simms you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough. He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal.

2010 Outlook
If Simms doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
