Mule Snyder
Center Fielder | Free Agents
Hitting The book on Snyder is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Snyder always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him.
Baserunning & Defense Snyder doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Snyder you're not putting him in for his glove. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.
2010 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Snyder to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
