Charlie Staiger
Shortstop | Free Agents

Hitting
Staiger never has been a patient hitter. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Staiger you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough. He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Staiger to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
