BJ Surhoff
Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. Surhoff always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Surhoff isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. When you play Surhoff you're not putting him in for his glove. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.

2010 Outlook
If Surhoff doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
