Bill Thomas
Left Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Thomas always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him.

Baserunning & Defense
He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal. Thomas doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. Bill's arm leaves a little to be a desired.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Thomas to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
