Hitting
One of the nice things about Milt is that he's a real clutch hitter. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Thompson always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Thompson when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal. Thompson plays mostly right field, where his mediocre range and throwing arm are less than ideal. He'd be better off in left.
