John Tolentino
Catcher | Free Agents

Hitting
In past seasons, Tolentino has been a bit of a liability with men on base. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect John Tolentino to pull the ball.

Baserunning & Defense
Tolentino isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases. Tolentino is a poor defensive catcher. He isn't very mobile or adept at blocking balls in the dirt. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Tolentino to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
