Hitting
In past seasons, Valjean has been a bit of a liability with men on base. Valjean always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
He might not deliver for you at the plate, but Valjean can certainly deliver in the field. He is an exceptional fielder. His arm is accurate enough. Valjean isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out.

2010 Outlook
The Chicago White Sox signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Valjean like a hot potato if something better comes along.
