Hitting
Varga never has been a patient hitter. In past seasons, Varga has been a bit of a liability with men on base. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Varga isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. When you play Varga you're not putting him in for his glove. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Varga to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
