Hitting
Don't be surprised if The Cleveland Lions's manager sits Washington when you throw your ace lefty. For some reason, he just can't figure out the southpaw. He rarely pulls pitches, preferring to shoot line drives to left-center.
Baserunning & Defense
Washington doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Washington you're not putting him in for his glove. John's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
2010 Outlook
I can't say I know what The Cleveland Lions were doing locking this guy up to a long term contract. A questionable call at best. Washington has below average skills, even for the low minors. One has to expect the Cleveland Lions will give him his walking papers before the end of the season.
