Charlie Wheeler
Left Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
In past seasons, Wheeler has been a bit of a liability with men on base. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Wheeler always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. It's hard to explain but Charlie Wheeler plays much better on the road then he does at home. It's unfortunate too, with Wheeler signing a hefty contract. You gotta imagine management wants a little better relationship between him and the fans.

Baserunning & Defense
His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. Wheeler often has trouble scoring from second base on singles and goes from first to third only on hits to right field.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Wheeler to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
