Jose Wheeler
First Baseman | Houston Astros

Hitting
He has a very quick bat and can adjust to a pitch's movement as well as any hitter in the game. Wheeler always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Wheeler tends to zone in on the power-alleys. Most of his outfield hits are to left and right center.

Baserunning & Defense
Wheeler isn't a fluid first baseman, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. Wheeler doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often.
