Pitching
He struggles with his command at times and is still learning to mix his pitches and set up hitters. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. Wilson also has a decent changeup. He traditionally fares better against lefties.

Defense & Hitting
Wilson does an average job of holding runners. Wilson doesn't field his position well. Wilson is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Wilson has some pop in his swing.

2010 Outlook
The Houston Astros signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Wilson like a hot potato if something better comes along.

Pitching
His slider is sharp and breaks both horizontally and vertically. His curveball is solid; he throws it better than your average reliever. Wilson has to keep the ball down, especially against lefties, or he gets hit hard and often. He can hit 90 MPH but is too smart to try to get his fastball past most hitters. If he ever adds a pitch to throw to lefties, he could make a big leap forward.

Defense & Hitting
His pickoff move is merely average. Wilson is nothing special in the field. Wilson is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Wilson has some pop in his swing.
