He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. He rarely pulls pitches, preferring to shoot line drives to left-center.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm strength is well above average and runners rarely try to take liberties against him. Yeager doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often.

2010 Outlook
The St. Louis Cardinals signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Yeager like a hot potato if something better comes along.
